Handling over 500 flights per week on Domestic, Regional and Intercontinental basis, EAS has a dedicated regional feeder network into and from the continental commercial hub of Southern Africa (Johannesburg), supported by nine bonded cargo handling facilities regionally.

Its facilities at all gateways provide the most widespread distribution of handling facilities available in the country. These handling facilities are supported by refrigeration capabilities, further benefiting airlines and agents alike.

X-ray cargo screening is standard on all compatible cargo and EAS is the benchmark in the region for dangerous goods management. Staff are annually trained in accordance with IATA Dangerous Goods standards.

All facilities have closed circuit television monitoring and its staff are security screened leading to a superior track record in respect of cargo losses.

The company constantly improves to meet market needs in all areas of handling – no matter how insignificant. This focus on constant improvement has enabled EAS to achieve and maintain service levels of 99.75% across the various aspects of cargo handling.
